With its heart in London’s Notting Hill district, Matches Fashion is a little fashion Mecca. First selling in their store our exclusive line of illustrated, jungle themed, silk scarves, we were then invited to design a T-shirt for them.
The piece feature our pet fried Tancredi: a black dotted leopard who hides in HERSELF’s lushy jungles, occasionally wears diamonds crowns, and burrowing his name from the italian character from the infamous novel, precisely, The Leopard.
The cause was good:the t-shirts were designed to celebrate London about to welcome the whole world for its 2012 Olypics Games and as an homage to Great Britain’s number one icon, Her Majesty the Queen on her Diamond Jubilee’s Days.
The company was great: we were invited to take part to the project alongside leading young London designers Mary Katrantzou, Jonathan Saunders, J W Anderson, Rocksanda Ilincic, Richard Nicoll, Holly Fulton and Erdem.
The 8 styles of this lovely t-venture benefit the Evening Standard’s Dispossessed Fund to which all profit from the sales are donated.
